The Medical University of Gdansk (MUG) was established in 1945. On six floors (including underground) are located such clinics as Obstetrics, Neonatology, Gynaecology, Oncologic Gynaecology and Endocrinology, Transplantation, Nephrology, and Internal Diseases, Internal Diseases, as well as 1st and 2nd Cardiology Clinics.

The Medical University of Gdansk is offering a low-cost medicine program. The University is preparing doctors for near countries and far abroad. The MUG teaches over 6,000 undergrad and postgraduate students at four faculties: the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology. The Medical University of Bialystok is a modern, dynamically developing public University, the mission of which is to serve the society through innovative MBBS education, conducting research, development and implementation works at the highest international level, and the development of clinical activities in line with the progress of medical knowledge. Confirmation of the significant position of the University is the high parametric rating of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, according to which, on a four-level scale, all three MUB faculties have the A category and the KNOW status (2012 – 2017). In addition, MUB, as the only Polish University, won a prestigious grant for doctoral studies in the COFUND competition as part of Maria Skłodowska-Curie’s Activities in the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Framework Program. In 2019, the University took 11th place among all universities in the competition for a research university.
